12/22 & 12/23 Administrative Closing (“Happy Holidays!”)

Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to announce that the UT System has granted two additional administrative closing dates this month. Wednesday, December 22, and Thursday, December 23, will be considered administrative closings for all University employees. President Boyd authorized this one-time benefit as a way of recognizing the extraordinary commitment that you have all shown over the past year.

These dates will be designated as “Administrative Closing” dates in our personnel system; no action will be required by you. Eligibility for compensation on these dates will be pursuant to UT policy HR0320-Administrative Closings. If employees had previously planned annual or sick leave on these dates, then it will be recorded instead as administrative closings without the need to use employee leave balances.

I want to extend my personal thanks to you and wish you a wonderful holiday. Your collective commitment to our students and service to our institution has been noted and appreciated. Enjoy those well-earned extra days off!

Happy Holidays and…Go Mocs!!!
