I want to thank every member of our UTC community for doing their part to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Our disciplined response has been associated with decreases in new cases over the past week, but our medical team remains concerned about the spread of COVID-19 on our campus and within the Chattanooga community. The opportunities for COVID spread over the holiday weekend and capacity issues of the local healthcare systems warrant the continuation of precautions. As a result, UTC, like our peers across the UT system, will continue to require that face masks be worn by everyone in all indoor public spaces on campus. This requirement will be re-evaluated in two to three weeks.
