Dear Colleagues:
The annual United Way of Greater Chattanooga Campaign is underway, and we are pleased to participate again this year. Since 1922, United Way of Greater Chattanooga has worked diligently to unite people and resources to build a stronger, healthier community. The United Way facilitates giving through 14,000 donors and nearly 300 companies in a six-county service area across the Tennessee Valley. They partner with over 40 nonprofit agencies to meet needs right here in the Greater Chattanooga area.
Support of the United Way not only impacts the broader community but also directly impacts our campus colleagues and their families. Last year nearly 50 families from the UTC community benefited from the various grant funded nonprofit agencies of the United Way. The dollars raised during the UTC campaign come back to support many individuals in our community, including some of our own employees, creating a full circle of giving and support.
In the coming days you will receive an email from United Way of Greater Chattanooga outlining our campus campaign. You will be provided instructions on how to make a one-time gift or monthly gifts via credit card or payroll deduction. Should you have any questions regarding the campaign, you can contact Nancy Mullins at nancy-mullins@utc.edu or 423-425-4906.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has a long-standing relationship with United Way of Greater Chattanooga. Your gift to the United Way can significantly impact many lives. Please consider supporting this worthy organization to assist those in need and build a better community for all of us.
Sincerely,
Steven R. Angle, Chancellor
