In general, many University Health Services (UHS) resources are included in the student health fee. If a student has a rapid diagnostic test such as a strep test, flu test, urinalysis and so on, there are charges for those services. A list of charges is available to students in the clinic for the practitioner to discuss when next clinical steps are being discussed with the practitioner. Labs are tests sent to the commercial lab which UHS is contracted with: Pathgroup. This would include any blood work done during a visit, among other tests such as a urine culture. The insurance information that the student provides to UHS will be sent to Pathgroup, and they will file the student’s insurance with the carrier.
