Fifteen years ago, Chattanooga made a bold bet on the future. EPB, the city-owned utility, built the nation’s first community-wide gigabit fiber network — an investment that earned Chattanooga the nickname “Gig City” and placed it on the global technology map. What began as an ambitious infrastructure project turned into a powerful engine of economic development, attracting national and international media attention.
Now Chattanooga has another opportunity to lead.
This time, the frontier is quantum technology.
