Staff Spotlight
As the Assistant Director of Occupancy Management in Housing and Residence Life, Orie Hubbard is all about the details. He oversees and administers the housing assignments process, runs the front office and much more. Carling Wilson, Associate Director of Administrative Services in Housing and Residence Life, describes Orie as “the engine in the car.” “You can’t see the engine, but it’s what makes the car run. Orie is what makes our office run,” she said.
Carling also describes Orie as someone who cares deeply about students. “During a phone call with a student, he will not only help students with our processes but will also explain other University processes, answer questions and connect them with resources,” she said. “He won’t get off the phone until all their questions are answered and the student feels confident.”
