Dr. Joey Shaw blends his passion for plants with teaching at UTC and the Highlands Biological Station, leading students into the forests and wetlands of the Highlands Plateau to uncover rare ferns and biodiverse habitats. At UTC he collaborates with students on the “Guide to the Vascular Plants of Tennessee,” using their feedback to refine species-identification keys.
