Jermaine Freeman has been named University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s first Executive Director of Economic and Workforce Development — a newly created role aimed at deepening UTC’s engagement in regional talent growth and economic planning. A Chattanooga native with nearly a decade of senior-level service in the city — including roles as Chief of Staff, Senior Advisor for Economic Opportunity, and Director of Economic Programs — Freeman brings extensive experience shaping workforce pipelines and development initiatives county-wide.
