Chattanooga Pulse traced the history of UTC’s Brock Hall, a landmark science building dedicated in 1949 amid post-World War II expansion. Originally housing biology, chemistry and other science departments, the Gothic-style structure responded to growing enrollment and evolving academic needs. Named for longtime trustee and civic leader William E. Brock, the hall later housed social science and nursing departments.
