As you get ready for the Fall semester, remember to utilize email best practices for keep your account safe and secure. We have seen a recent increase in phishing attempts regarding job opportunities and have put together tips for identifying and avoiding potential job scams. If it seems too good to be true, please ask before you click!

Phishing:

  • Sender usually poses as a trustworthy source
  • Meant to gather confidential information; not just financial
  • Emails will be vague or have a sense of urgency to lure people into responding
