System Maintenance
Maintenance Announcement:
The UTC Information Technology HPC Team will be performing scheduled maintenance on the HPC cluster from Tuesday, March 17 at 8:00 a.m. through Wednesday, March 18 at 11:59 p.m. This maintenance window, scheduled during spring break, will complete the remaining phases of the full HPC cluster rebuild.
During this time, the cluster will be unavailable, and all running and queued jobs will be canceled at the start of maintenance.
Important Information for Users
- The cluster will be completely unavailable during the maintenance window.
- All jobs will be canceled at 8:00 AM on March 17.
- Users may need to recompile applications or rebuild software environments due to the updated operating system and libraries.
- Additional post-maintenance instructions will be provided once the system is online.
This work represents the completion of a full rebuild of the legacy based environment. Due to age and architectural limitations, an in-place upgrade was not feasible. The new system has been rebuilt behind the scenes and will replace the previous environment in its entirety.
