Three times so far this term, including once today, patrons have been unable to print a Powerpoint job at the 2nd floor Go-Print station. Each time the printer has gone off line, been restarted, and gone off line on the 2nd attempt.

I may be wrong, but this tends to happen when the Powerpoint has been turned into a PDF (usually done by professors and put on Blackboard for the students). I think this is again caused by the printers not getting the appropriate Adobe updates (unless the GoPrint folks have taken care of this). Last time I talked with them about it they said the printers would need to go offline for a few minutes, and I don’t remember anyone warning that this would happen. So, no updates=continuing problems with Adobe.
