For some reason, erroneous full text links from our former link resolver (360 Link of ~10 years ago) are now appearing in Google Scholar (it’s called Full Text-UTC TextLinker as opposed to Get It @ UTC).
Basically, 360 recently started sending Google Scholar holdings files as a result of 360 being turned on for us as part of our ProQuest deal from last fall. I just contacted 360 and they instructed me on how to turn this off in the admin module which I just did. The bad news is that it won’t be until early next week when Google removes this erroneous FT link from Scholar results.
For now, users can go into Scholar Settings (the link at the top right of the Scholar homepage), click on Library Links, and uncheck “University of Tennessee at Chattanooga – Full Text-UTC TextLinker,” then click save.
Apologies for any inconvenience and hopefully this will be resolved by Google early next week.
