Study rooms went live on Monday, 8/24, with a new feature for patrons to swipe in using their Mocs card. To help troubleshoot issues that are coming up with study room card swipes, please gather the patron’s UTC ID (or name), study room number, and time that they attempted to swipe in. Enter them into this issues form (also linked at the Checkout Desk computers in the Chrome browser). Thanks for your help with solving issues with the new process!
Note that there are two known issues with card swipes:
- patron does not have a valid Mocs card associated with their account
- patron has too many access levels already assigned to them (usually an employee, but could also be students who are RAs or similar)
If the patron’s name and Mocs card match the reservation, staff can swipe patrons into their reserved room using their personal Mocs card.
