Here’s where we are at with media hubs:
A few weeks back, we shipped off two problem children to the vendor. Of those two – one was verifiably broken & the other worked perfectly. The working media hub (& a replacement) are being shipped back to us…to place back into the A/V rooms to retest. We are still waiting on the results of further testing of the broken one.
The vendor has suggested there could be any number of reasons why, even if the media hubs themselves aren’t broken, why they would not be working in our library. They have requested we remove & ship all the remaining media hubs back to them for testing. We have not yet decided what we are going to do.
As for the user experience in the rooms – it anecdotally appears there might be consistent HDMI problems in addition to the Bluetooth. We’ve not been hearing of VGA issues, but it’s doubtful those are getting used all that frequently.
