Some of our large journal packages are set up as “linked full text” in EBSCOhost (a more reliable alternative to OpenURL linking). Instead of the “Get It” icon, a “linked full text” icon displays when there’s no full text available within the EBSCO database.
It looks like there’s an off campus authentication problem with publishers set up this way in EBSCOhost databases such as Wiley, Taylor and Francis, SAGE, etc. The linked full text access works fine on campus and we’re able to access articles on the respective journal platforms from off campus using direct publisher platform URL’s but for some reason there’s no off campus access via linked full text.
I’ve reported this to EBSCO Support and hopefully it will be fixed soon.
In the meantime, if you or patrons experience this problem, you can search for the journal in our A-Z list and manually navigate to the full text that way.
