It appears as though End Note is giving some of the EDUC 500 students a problem. I had a woman in tonight who tried to import her cites both at home and in Hunter and it wouldn’t work. She came in the Library and it worked flawlessly. Then I had an IM from another student in the course, same problem, they get as far as attempting to import the file and nothing. She was at home and plans to come in tomorrow. Any thoughts?
If they were importing from Education FullText they were probably trying to use the EndNote filter that shows up on the Export menu. Although this seems perfectly logical, it is made for the desktop version of EndNote and doesn’t work for EndNote Web. I have a handout with step-by-step instructions for importing into EndNote Web from Education FullText, ERIC, and Dissertation Abstracts. It’s on the S: drive under Instruction/Workshops/Web of Science and EndNote Training and Help Guides/EndNote Help Guides/.
I am working on getting all this step by step importing help onto a wiki this summer so that it will be easy for our patrons to access.
