1> On Sunday we had almost 20 people in here looking for wireless assistance. Expect crowds today and PLEASE keep a tally of how many folks we refer back to the workroom. IT expects to have their glitches from Friday fixed by noon today, so I am hopeful the students who show up can get helped today. I’ll post more as I know more. 2> Printing points from student tech fees ($10 on their MocsCard) seem to be properly credited to student cards already. I had several people go to print yesterday and happily discover they had a $10 balance on their cards. 3> There are a couple of Guest User cards at the reference desk with varying bits of money on them. Please feel free to use them in cases where a panicked or overstressed student might not have their MocsCard yet and needs to print a schedule or rap sheet (while of course stressing they ALWAYS need to bring their MocsCards in the future). Given the troubles they are having with computers and technology in general, I’d like to do whatever we can to make our student’s first experiences with us pleasant. Thanks!
