The new HP printer has been installed. All computers need to be reconfigured, though, which will take several days. Reference desk and wing pcs will be able to print to it by Sunday evening for emergency purposes. Unless there are objections, I’ll leave the out of order sign up until all the computers are done (otherwise people who print to it with the old configuration will lose their print jobs).
[Update] All the circulating laptops and public desktops have been configured, so whenever the BW printer is back in service then the color printer is in service too.
Stephen – can we add another out of order sign to the print station computer where they select their print jobs? I have noticed that students sometimes don’t see the sign until they have actually already paid. Just a thought!
