I have received several random reports from on-campus users who are being asked to authenticate with a Gale/Cengage username and password after selecting Academic OneFile. I have reported the problem to the vendor. I do not have reports of this happening with other Gale/Cengage databases, but it is possible that others are affected.
If users report this to you, please 1) have them re-try accessing the database or refreshing their browser in a few minutes. This will probably send them to a different Gale/Cengage server in their massive server farm; and 2) let me know that another incident has occurred (email is fine, unless the problem seems to be getting out of control).
