While one of the printers on first floor is indeed printing, it is now taking anywhere from 5-10 minutes (Savanna has been timing) for print jobs to show up, if they show up at all. We have shut both printers down and are sending folks to the 2nd floor where print jobs are showing up like normal. I have called Troy and will also put in a Footprints request.
UPDATE: Troy and the service technician stopped by again and were able to get the right printer working. They have, however, ordered a needed part.
There was concern that we were overfilling the paper in all the trays and causing jams. So please be conservative when adding paper.
UPDATE II: From the completed IT ticket: There were a few problems with the printer. The tray 4 jamming problem is due to a faulty pickup assembly. That part has been ordered and will be installed tomorrow (Thursday). The other problem was due to someone breaking off a piece of plastic that holds the fuser in place. That piece of plastic was laying inside the duplex unit, cause any duplex jobs to hit it and jam. The broken piece was removed, but unfortunately required a new fuser to be installed before it was due.
