In addition to being available on the thin clients, we recently added Maple 17 (mathematics/modeling software) to the laptops. An issue has been discovered where Maple isn’t authenticating properly on the laptops and it appears to be tied to the campus wireless changes from last week. A wired connection is needed for Maple to reach the key server presently so as a permanent solution is being researched, the thin clients are the best bet for Maple access. Some Ethernet cables have been handed off to Access for processing and they will be available as a circulating item in the near future and they too could be used with the laptops in order to access Maple as well.
Edit: This has now been resolved and Maple should authenticate properly on the wireless alone.
