UTC Parents and Families,
The spring semester is in full swing now, which means that your student(s) are hard at work managing their new semester routines.
As the UTC Parent and Family Association looks to the future, we want you to be a part of the planning process. We need your feedback and hope you will consider filling out our 2026 Communications Survey (more info below). This survey will help us gather information about your communication preferences and needs, as well as ways you may want to engage with the Association.
It is never too early to start discussing summer and fall plans with your student. Check in with your student about their internship, job, and housing plans for the rest of the year. Thank you for partnering with us to support your students through their UTC experience!

We want to hear from you! The UTC Parent and Family Association 2026 Communications Survey is now open. The survey will be open from February 4th to April 1st. This is a quick and helpful way for you to provide us with feedback. Your voice is important!

The Spring 2026 semester has already brought some unexpected weather. Please stay warm and safe during this time. For some of you, this may be your student’s final semester, and we would like to take a moment to recognize this important milestone. Congratulations on this wonderful accomplishment! 😊
The Bursar Office team is here to support you throughout your student’s educational journey. As the semester progresses, students are strongly encouraged to set up ACH/Direct Deposit for refunds through their MyMocsNet account. Paper refund checks are mailed to the permanent address on file and may take 5–10 or more days to arrive via USPS. For faster and more secure delivery of funds, the Office of the Bursar strongly recommends using ACH/Direct Deposit. If assistance is needed with adding refund account information, please visit the Bursar Office website at www.utc.edu/bursar.
If the Tuition Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) is being used for the Spring semester, the next payment is due February 1, with subsequent payments due March 1 and April 1. A late fee of $50 will be assessed on the 4th of each month if a scheduled payment is not received.
If you have general questions, please contact our office at 423.425.4781 or email us at [email protected]. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Please note: A MyMocsPass Passphrase is required for us to share specific information regarding a student’s account.

Off-Campus Journey
The Off-Campus Student Services (OCSS) office is here to help any students (and parents) navigate the world of off-campus living and commuting, whether students live at home, live on their own, or are just starting to look for a place for the next school year. The best first step is to check out our website to see all that we do, explore our plethora of resources, see some of our property listings, find roommates/sublets, or schedule an appointment with us. (www.utc.edu/ocss).
A great introduction is also our monthly webinar called The Off-Campus Journey happening this month on February 11th from 12:30pm – 1:30pm. All registration and Zoom details are found in the link.
Our big event this month is our Spring Off-Campus Housing Fair, hosted in the Tennessee Room in the University Center on February 17th from 1pm-6pm. With over 50 properties at the event as well as many on-campus partners, students have all of the resources they need for their off-campus journey in one room together. And with chances to win prizes, walk away with some great swag, and get some good grub, this fair is not to be missed.
Any questions, please reach out to [email protected].
