Office of Student Outreach & Support
Happy New Year Mocs Families! As we start the Spring Term, The Office of Student Outreach & Support (SOS), part of the Dean of Students Office, wants to remind you that we are here to support your students no matter their concern. SOS provides case management, basic needs services, and general support for students experiencing a disruption to their normal academic studies. SOS staff guides and helps connect students with a variety of resources both on and off-campus, whether they are experiencing physical or mental health, personal, or family concerns. If you have concerns about your student and it is not an emergency, please submit a Community Member of Concern Referral (www.utc.edu/coc) so that SOS can send outreach and offer support appropriately. Through our outreach, we aim to help students develop self-advocacy, resiliency, and coping skills. If you have concerns about your student, and it is an emergency, please call Campus PD at 423-425-HELP.

Wild Places and the Stories They Inspire.
The Lookout Wild Film Festival (LWFF) is coming to campus January 15–18, 2026, at the Roland W. Hayes Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Center. Whether you are into climbing, paddling, mountain biking, conservation, or simply discovering something new with friends, there is a block of films for you.
Students can grab tickets and passes through LWFF.org, or through the Fine Arts Center box office Monday through Friday 11:00 to 4:00.
