Multicultural Affairs Open House^
Join us in the Multicultural Center (Lupton Hall 1st Floor) on Thursday, Aug. 26 from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. for an upbeat meet and greet experience with a Multicultural Student Organization Fair (BSA, HOLA, NPHC), games, food, and music! Meet with the student organization leaders and get involved. For assistance with accommodations please contact our office at mcc@utc.edu or (423) 425-5651. This event counts towards the Beyond the Classroom Challenge. Laura Waldron and Multicultural Affairs Staff will distribute and take up BTC Reflection Cards.
Join ThinkAchieve at Nightfall + Lookout Wild Film Festival^
Join ThinkAchieve at Nightfall on Friday, Aug. 27! Meet at Starbucks at 8:15 p.m., and we’ll walk over to Miller Plaza together. Nightfall provides a multi-week schedule of diverse, quality musical entertainment in the heart of Chattanooga. Nightfall features a broad spectrum of musical genres performed by superior national and international artists, many of whom are performing in our city for the first time. The new Miller Park will feature artisans, lawn games and family-friendly activities that are fun for everyone. This event counts towards the Beyond the Classroom Challenge. Aidan Allen will distribute and take up BTC Reflection Cards.
Learn To Skateboard with Outdoor Chattanooga^
Join Outdoor Chattanooga on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Chattanooga Skate Park where experienced instructors will teach foundational skills such as body and foot positioning, balancing, pushing, turning, and tic tacking, plus how to fall safely, skate park etiquette, and basic equipment care. Online reservations are required in advance. They limit one free class per person per year. This event counts towards the Beyond the Classroom Challenge. Please complete a BTC Reflection within 2 days of attending this event.
Into the Blue Exhibit Launch^
Community event: Into the Blue: Abstraction in the Airport, the inaugural art exhibit marking the opening of CHA ART SPACE, will open on Saturday, Aug. 28 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. in the main rotunda of the Chattanooga Airport. The public is invited to come view the art and meet and mingle with the artists who are part of the show! This event counts towards the Beyond the Classroom Challenge. Please complete a BTC Reflection within 2 days of attending this event.
