Compete at the Undergraduate Student Research Pitch Competition!

UTC Office for Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavor (URaCE) and the UTC Graduate School are seeking undergraduate students to participate in the Undergraduate Student Research Pitch Competition. WHEN: Wednesday, October 21, 2026   WHERE: UTC University Center  The student competition registration deadline is Sept. 20, 2026. Spots are limited so register today!

Fireworks for 140^th!

For the first time in UTC’s history, you’ll have the chance to watch fireworks on-campus!

As part of UTC’s 140^th anniversary celebration, there will be a fireworks show on Thursday, September 17^th, at approximately 8:10pm.

The fireworks will be launched from Lot 7 beside Maclellan gym. As a safety precaution, the area around Lot 7, including portions of Douglas Street and Mocs Alumni Drive, will be closed 12pm-9pm that day. The fireworks display itself will last approximately 5 minutes. Members of the campus community are welcome to watch the fireworks show, but please maintain a safe distance from the launch site. SGA is hosting a watch party at the West Campus Housing Courtyard, and all students are welcome!
