UTC Art History major Trinity Anthony, a junior, is working closely with UTC Library Special Collections to digitize and make available to the public materials from the United Hosiery Mills Records. Special Collections received a $1900 State Board Programming Regrant from the Tennessee Historical Records Advisory Board to continue the project. Working under the direction of Carolyn Runyon, director of Special Collections; Molly Copeland, the library’s manuscripts archivist; and Dr. Lisa Piazza, executive director of the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavor (URaCE), Anthony first presented her findings at the 2025 UTC Spring Research and Arts Conference.
Runyon says of Anthony’s contribution to the project, “Trinity did all the pre-work. She inventoried the collection and helped communicate the historical significance of the materials for the grant proposal…Her background research made the application successful.”
