Work on Strategy 2030 continues to progress. Last week, the Steering Committee met to discuss feedback from the survey and to continue to discuss mission, vision and values. Some of the discussion themes based on your feedback were as follows:
- A desire was communicated to streamline our mission, vision and values and work towards being as concise and clear as possible.
- Be bold in our vision and embrace our role in Chattanooga (community)/region.
- As a regional comprehensive, education/teaching, research and service will always be central to our mission.
- Our current values in large part are an accurate depiction of what we hold high as a campus community. There is opportunity to elevate the critical role faculty and staff play in moving us forward.
These are just a few of the key takeaways from the discussion. We will use this to refine our vision, mission and values as needed. Please reach out with any questions.
