Summer 2026
- Congratulations to Erin (PI) and Katelyn (co-PI), for winning the SEARCH Award ($1,000) for the project, “Coffee-Derived Carbon Quantum Dots for Polymer Composite Applications,” at UTC!
- Dr. Kode received the prestigious NSF ERI award ($199,516) to support a new project on, “Renewable Water Harvesting Using Tunable Solid Bio-Desiccants Derived from Agricultural Waste for Low-Energy Regeneration” (05/2026-04/2028).
- Dr. Kode presented an invited talk on, “Thermal Analysis of Water Vapor Sorption and Hysteresis in Chestnut Shell-Derived Carbons Probed by DVS” at the 2026 North American Sorption Symposium, hosted at the USDA Forestry Laboratory on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.
