Awards and participation gifts
All registered students will receive mathematical gifts and participation ribbons on competition day. The top 10 students nationally and top three students in each state will receive medals, ribbons and awards from the center manager in May. The top 20 students will receive a special invitation to an educational webinar.
Students must pick up gifts and awards in person at the competition center; the center manager is not required to mail items to students’ homes.
Accommodations and school participation
Math Kangaroo honors special-accommodation requests indicated during registration. Parents requesting accommodations will be contacted in February to provide necessary documentation for an Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Teachers and PTA parents are encouraged to introduce the competition at their schools. School administrators interested in hosting a competition may be sent the official Math Kangaroo invitation letter.
