A wonderful study abroad opportunity is available through the International Studies Program (CTSS) at the Universidad de Alcala de Henares.
Dr. Katelyn Hancock from the Social, Cultural, and Justice Studies Department will be teaching a Sexual Victimization course for the program, which runs from Jan. 15-April 12. Students earn 12 credit hours for the program semester.
There are three blocks of courses during this time. Each course block lasts about 4 weeks; students pick only one course per block, but they are enrolled in an introduction to Spain course that lasts the entire semester (throughout every block).
The Office of Study Abroad has scholarship funding (three scholarships at $1,500 per student) for eligible students participating in this program. There are also additional opportunities that their office can assist you in exploring.
If you have any questions about study abroad scholarships or other financial aid questions, please contact UTC Study Abroad Director Laura Livermore (laura-livermore@utc.edu).
The deadlines for applying to UTC study abroad and the UA program are different. UTC’s deadline is Nov. 1 and UA’s deadline is Nov. 23.
