The UTC Commission on the Status of Women is excited to offer an informal fall book club! Are you interested in ways to reduce and redistribute the non-promotable work you are asked to complete? Research shows women are disproportionately assigned tasks that do not help them advance in their organizations. The authors of this book set out to find practical and systemic ways to change this trend.
The No Club: Putting a Stop to Women’s Dead-End Work.
You have 2 ways to participate:
- Collect some UTC colleagues (5-8) and plan your own times to read the book throughout November. We have enough books for ~5 informal groups.
When you email, please indicate the number of books needed and who will be participating. - Join a group led by one of our Commission members
- Sarah Canatsey: Tuesday’s @4pm F2F (Nov. 1, 8, 15, 29) – Limit to 10 participants.
Email women@utc.edu to sign up today!
*This book club is open to everyone on campus. We are planning to have one or more of the authors come in the spring to speak.
