Lifeguarding and Water Safety – HHP 1999R-02 – 42578 – 3 Credit Hour
Become Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and First Aid certified in this exciting course! Students will acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to save their own life, and the lives of others, in the event of an emergency while in, on or around the water. This is a fun and interactive class taught both in the classroom and in the water. Successful students will be able to add a new certification to their resume and have the opportunity to apply for a lifeguard position with UTC Campus Recreation if they would like.
Aquatic Facility Programming – HHP 1999R-01 – 42577 – 3 Credit Hour
Learn and experience the various types of programs and special events offered at aquatic facilities! This includes water volleyball, log rolling, special events, swimming, and much more. Through the course, you will become certified as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, and will be able to teach swimming and water safety to people of all ages and abilities. This fun and interactive class is taught both in the classroom and in the water. Successful students will be able to add a new certification to their resume and have the opportunity to apply for a swim instructor position with UTC Campus Recreation if they would like.
