Light mater interaction of graphene nanohybrid materials
There is considerable interest in developing nanoscale plasmonic devices by combining graphene with quantum dot and metallic nanoparticles into graphene nanocomposites. Graphene was invented theoretically by PR Wallace from Canada in 1947 and he found that graphene is an indirect gapless material. In 2010 a Noble prize was awarded to graphene. In this seminar, we will investigate the light-matter interaction in graphene nanohybrid materials and their applications in nanotechnology and nanomedicine.
