I grew up loving stories. As a child, my parents would read me all types of books, and the stories about knights and dragons, kings and queens, and great men and women always inspired me. As I grew older, I realized history is more than a story, it is a window into new perspectives, a way to understand our present world, and a blueprint for future generations. The UTC History Department has enabled me to come into contact with great students and educators who motivate me through their passion for history. Money is a tool, and this scholarship provides me with an opportunity to continue my pursuit of history with more focus.
