Dr. Hasan Kwame Jeffries is an historian of the African American experience whose work explores the evolution of the Black freedom struggle and the enduring fight for democracy in America. A leading scholar of the civil rights and Black Power movements, his teaching, writing, and public engagement challenge audiences to confront the past honestly in order to understand the present.
