Incoming Professor of History and Director of Africana Studies, Dr. Michael Vinson Williams, will give a talk and meet members of the community at an event on Thursday April 18 at 3:30PM. He will deliver a talk entitled “Recognizing and Feeling the Human Element of Civil Rights Activism: Medgar Wiley Evers, Fannie Lou Hamer, the Black Freedom Movement, and the Collaborative Vision Plan for Africana Studies.” The talk will be followed by a reception with refreshments.
