This summer, Dr. John C. Swanson participated in the Invisible University for Ukraine Summer School, delivering a lecture based on his own research on Jewish communities in Ukraine.
This July, Dr. Swanson formed part of the Summer School session for the Invisible University for Ukraine. The theme of the Summer School this year was “Between Pasts and Futures: Competing Legacies, Narratives and Visions of the Future in Ukraine and Beyond,” and it took place in Budapest, Hungary, at Central European University.
Dr. Swanson presented a lecture based on his own research into the history of Jewish communities in western Ukraine. In addition to sharing his findings, Dr. Swanson also served as a mentor to students participating in the Invisible University’s Summer School over the first two weeks of July.
