History Beyond the Classroom: Charleston Study Tour
During Fall Break 2017, Dr. Michael Thompson led students from his senior seminar on the history of urban slavery (HIST 4500: Slavery in the Cities) on a study trip to Charleston, South Carolina.
Internships Take History Beyond the Classroom
Every semester UTC History majors and minors have the opportunity to participate in a variety of internships that take history beyond the classroom. In HIST 4920: Internships in History, students can earn academic credit while interning at some of the region’s outstanding historical and community institutions.
