Join us for a Sexual Assault Awareness Month Film Screening of “The Hunting Ground.” Released in 2015, this film has not lost relevance in its context and message. Many students on college campuses face sexual assault and on the whole, this issue still remains a taboo in the public eye.

MLK Historical Walking Tour
The History Club is hosting a historical walking tour of Martin Luther King Boulevard with Chattanooga Organized for Action’s Michael Gilliland on April 6, 2017. Mr. Gilliland will lead the tour and share with us the rich history of our city. Come out to learn more about how MLK has grown and changed over the years!
Peace Unveiled Film Screening
The UTC History Club will be screening Peace Unveiled in celebration of Women’s History Month and in collaboration with the UTC Multicultural Center on March 9, 2017. Join us to celebrate three Afghan women who fought against insurmountable odds to protect the rights of women throughout Afghanistan.
Thursday: History Club Documentary Screening
The UTC History Club will be screening “Mississippi: Is This America?” in celebration of Black History Month in collaboration with the UTC Multicultural Center and the UTC Film Club on February 9. The documentary sheds light on the stories of the men, women, and youth who fought for justice and freedom in 1960s Mississippi.
