System Maintenance
Maintenance Announcement
Information Technology will be performing scheduled monthly maintenance on Friday, September 18 beginning at 5:00 p.m. All routine maintenance is expected to be complete by 6:00 a.m. the following Saturday, September 19.
What to expect:
An interruption of all IT services is possible during the maintenance window. For status updates, please visit https://www.utc.edu/itstatus.
Affected Services:
- Door Access System Maintenance: In collaboration with the Department of Public Safety, upgrades to components of the campus door access system will begin at 5:00 p.m. During this maintenance, users may experience brief intermittent issues accessing doors with their MocsCard credentials between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The upgrade process is expected to take approximately 30 minutes.
- General System Maintenance: All IT services could see an interruption of services as systems are restarted during our routine server maintenance between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Services required for classes will be restarted after 7:30 p.m.
- UTC Website: Work on Drupal services for the main public website, www.utc.edu, will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is expected to be complete by late Friday night. During the maintenance, users may experience a brief period of intermittent website outages.
