For those keeping track, alongside the migration/update of our website to OU Campus & its imminent switcharoo from Joomla, we’re also merging/updating the main Library blog & the Special Collections blog to a template that closely resembles the new website template. Which goes live today (the blog, that is).
The new blog will remain in WordPress, although it is a campus-maintained set-up, rather than an in-house library one. We’ll be trying it out for awhile to make sure we feel good about it working like we need it to, while leaving the old blogs up for nostalgia purposes, & to give enough time to individuals to find the new site by way of these “We’re Moving!” notifications:
http://blog.lib.utc.edu/lines/2013/09/our-blog-is-moving/
http://blog.lib.utc.edu/archivist/2013/09/23/blog-moving/
The URL for the new blog is:
If you had a WordPress account in the old system for posting to the public blog, you have one here as well. However, your log-in is now CAS authenticated, so use your UTC ID and password. Anyone who doesn’t have access to the new blog & ends up needing it, get with Chantelle and myself, so we get you set-up correctly.
The log-in URL is here:
https://blog.utc.edu/library/wp-admin/
Regarding the Alerts blog, there are no plans to remove/disable/delete/alter it from our in-house library WordPress set-up. So continue to use your old links & your old log-ins when posting to the Alerts blog. (Same goes for the Access Services blog.)
