August 18, 2018. The newly admitted UTC MPH cohort and their faculty engaged in the 16th Annual Minority Health Fair (MHF) at East Gate Mall only two days after the program orientation. They helped provide services to an estimated 4,000 individuals from the local community attending the MHF by supporting various non-profit organizations and health care providers and delivering health education to the community members in attendance. Overall, this was a tremendous learning experience and first exposure to the broad range of public health services being offered throughout the region. Moving forwards, the MHF will be an annual event for the MPH program as part of our mission to give back to the local Chattanooga community!
