My name is Rachel Endo and I am a health educator at A Step Ahead Chattanooga. At A Step Ahead Chattanooga, our mission is to remove barriers to birth control by providing education, outreach, and access to free birth control. ASAC provides education throughout the community to anyone interested while also providing free birth control to individuals within our service area. I got my master’s in public health from ETSU in May of 2018 and have been working in public health since. I first worked in the government sector doing STI intervention before shifting into a health education role. I joined A Step Ahead Chattanooga as an educator in December of 2020, excited to focus on providing education on reproductive health, STIs, consent, and other topics across the comprehensive sexuality education spectrum. Currently, I am making sure our lessons and presentations are up to date so we can better serve those we provide education to and looking for new ways to implement our education to expand our organizational reach. When I’m not working, you can probably find me in the woods climbing rocks!
