Announcements
- REMINDER – If you have not already submitted your Outside Interest Disclosure form in IRIS for fiscal year 2023, please do so by March 1. While required by UTC more broadly, it’s vital that any faculty or staff member who participates in a sponsored project or proposal (regardless of whether you are conducting research) has an up-to-date OID form on file. Please see the guidance on ORSP’s webpage for a section-by-section breakdown of what to disclose and where.
- Several solicitations from the NSF Directorates for Biological Sciences (BIO) and Geological Sciences (GEO) will soon require the submission of a 2-page Safe and Inclusive Work Environments Plan. If you currently or plan to apply to NSF and will be conducting any research activities off campus, this new requirement will apply to you. Consider registering for the upcoming Virtual Office Hour on March 20, 2023 from 3 – 4 PM ET. Program Officers from BIO and GEO will provide an overview of the new requirement and take your questions and comments. Register for the webinar HERE.
- NIH is soliciting feedback on their new public access plan, which outlines the steps NIH will take to implement the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy “Ensuring Free, Immediate, and Equitable Access to Federally Funded Research”. If you are funded by NIH or are interested in apply to NIH in the future, this plan will impact you. Comments must be submitted at https://osp.od.nih.gov/nih-plan-to-enhance-public-access-to-the-results-of-nih-supported-research. Responses will be accepted through April 24, 2023.
