Faculty Web Profile Spotlight
It has been an exciting year with the release of UTC’s Faculty Web Profiles. To celebrate, we wanted to dedicate the first half of the newsletter to spotlight a few fantastic profiles across campus. We have highlighted some aspects of each profile; however, don’t just take our word for it; we hope you will check their full profile out!
Dr. Lynette Carlson
The first thing you will notice when viewing Dr. Carlson’s profile is that her photo highlights her work in the field. Your directory photo is not tied to your Digital Measures profile, which allows you to provide an alternative photo for your Faculty Web profile. Such a great photo complements the biography Dr. Carlson included on their page!
Dr. Tammy Garland
Though service might be the 5th tab on Dr. Garland’s profile, it doesn’t mean it is forgotten! Here you will find many of the ways Dr. Garland contributes to the university and community. The services category can include University, College, Department Service, Community and Public Service, and Professional Service.
Dr. Daniel Loveless
Did you know you can display your course schedule on your profile? Dr. Loveless uses the instruction tab to show his latest courses. You will also find a fantastic list of teaching interests on this tab as well!
Dr. Claudia Williamson
The Probasco Chair of Free Enterprise at UTC contributes to the public knowledge and understanding of economic theory and practice. On Dr. Williamson’s profile, you will find some highlighted scholarly activities highlighting her research interests and contributions! We enjoy seeing Dr. Williamson leveraging the flexibility of the system to include those items published and accepted.
Objectives Before You Go!
The 2021-2022 Annual Performance Review (EDO) workflow kicked off in early March for all full-time faculty. This is a busy time of year for you, so we wanted to remind you to visit Digital Measures for logging your yearly objectives! Your UTC Digital Measures Team is here to assist you if you have any questions throughout the process.
How does Faculty Reporting Benefit You?
1. Faculty activity reporting becomes a collaborative tool.
Digital Measures enables you to enter activities once and use that data infinitely. Department Heads can pull the information needed for their reports without bothering you.
2. Faculty activity reporting gives you a functional repository.
Digital Measures collects your information and ensures all activities and accomplishments, including supporting artifacts (like grant award letters, full-texts of publications, and PowerPoint presentations), are available to answer the many information requests that are asked of you each year.
3. Faculty activity reporting enables you to furnish information faster.
Digital Measures eliminates the tedious process of compiling the same information in different formats many times each year. It allows you to authentically represent your life’s work by pulling data directly from the system into customized CV’s and other materials to support grant applications, conference proposals, and more.
4. Faculty activity reporting helps you manage your milestones.
You have one place to enter your development and activities which can be used for all of your reporting needs.
5. Faculty activity reporting can assist in the accreditation process.
When your profile is up to date, accreditation reports can be generated more readily.
6. Faculty activity reporting raises your profile.
Did you know that web profiles rank among the three most-read sections of any university’s website? Digital measures can automatically populate your web profile, so you’re always up to date.
Reports for all occasions
Did you know you can create custom reports in Digital Measures? The system provides faculty and administrators with various options, including a self-service report-building tool to quickly generate a report of what you need. Your Digital Measures Administrators can also build advanced reports for departments to use for various needs, such as accreditation or dashboarding!
