The Department of History will hold its 3rd annual African American History event on May 10, 2016 at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center. Against the backdrop of the Bessie’s new exhibit on “Negro League Baseball in Chattanooga,” a panel of community participants will discuss the relationships – past, present, and future – among the Lincoln Park, Warner Park, Engel Stadium, and UTC communities.
