Announcements
- The US Department of Energy Office of Basic Energy Sciences will be hosting a webinar for Early Career Scientists from 2-3pm EDT on April 26, 2023. The webinar will discuss how to identify and apply for DOE funding opportunities and how to manage awards. Click here to register to attend.
- The USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture will be hosting a virtual Technical Assistance Workshop on funding opportunities and proposal writing tips. The workshop will consist of daily, 3-hour sessions the week of May 8, 2023. Click here to review the agenda and register to attend.
Funding Opportunities
Limited Submission – NSF CyberCorps Scholarship for Service NOI
The CyberCorps SFS Program accepts proposals to establish or to continue scholarship programs in areas relevant to cybersecurity and cybersecurity-related fields. Read more about the program here. Because UTC is limited to one application per competition cycle, interested PIs must submit an NOI via InfoReady Review no later than Wednesday, May 3 at 11:59 PM. NASA Research Initiation Awards
The Research Initiation Awards program provides funding to PIs at non-R1 institutions to build a foundation for a competitive, sustainable, and productive program of research over a two-year period. It is expected that undergraduate students participate in the research. To be eligible, PIs may not have received federal funding in the last 5 years as the PI of a project that is related to the proposed research activities. Read more about the program is here. The optional NOI is due by May 18, and the full proposal is due July 18. Notify ORSP by May 4 if you are interested in applying to this program.
US DOC National Institute of Standards and Technology Measurement Science and Engineering Research Grant Programs
NIST’s mission is to drive innovation and industrial competitiveness through measurement science and standards by cultivating a culture of belonging that integrates diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in all ways of working. This program will award grants or cooperative agreements in 12 program areas. Click here for a full list and the current NOFO. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until April 2025. Please notify ORSP if you are interested in submitting to this call.
