Funding Opportunities
- REMINDER – NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates – NSF has released an updated solicitation for the annual REU Sites program. The overall requirements of the program remain the same, with minor updates to the student stipend amount and faculty mentor documentation. Full proposals are dueto NSF by September 27, 2023. Please notify ORSP by August 1 if you plan to submit a proposal to this program.
- NEH Dangers and Opportunities of Technology – NEH is accepting proposals for research on the relationship between technology and society, including the opportunities and dangers technology poses. Studies that explore how technology factors into current social/cultural issues, particularly the ethical, legal and social considerations for AI, are especially encouraged. Both individual and team-based research projects are accepted. The full solicitation, including FAQs and a recorded webinar are available on the program webpage. Full proposals are due to NEH by October 11, 2023. Please notify ORSP by August 11 if you plan to submit a proposal to this program.
- NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) – NSF has released a new solicitation for the GRFP. The deadline varies by discipline, ranging from October 16 – 20. This is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students who are planning to apply to graduate school for a STEM degree.
