Announcements
- Beginning next Monday, October 23, the biosketch and current and pending support forms must be prepared using SciENcv. The NSF fillable PDF formats will no longer be accepted. Having trouble getting set up in SciENcv? Help guides are available on ORSP’s webpage here. You can also schedule a consultation with a grant specialist here.
- The Department of Energy is accepting applications for two summer learning programs through January 9, 2024:
- Summer 2024 Undergraduate Laboratory Internships – Current undergraduates and recent graduates are eligible. Please pass this opportunity along to your students. They can learn more about the program and sign up for the Virtual Internship Fair on November 8 here.
- Summer 2024 Visiting Faculty Program – Eligibility is limited to full-time faculty in a STEM field who are a US citizen or lawful permanent resident. There are two tracks: Research Collaboration and Teaching Initiative. Learn more about the program and apply here.
- Reminder – We want to hear from you! The Vice Chancellor for Research and ORSP are planning to support a site visit and networking opportunities with researchers at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the UT – Oak Ridge Innovation Institute. We are seeking to gather information about faculty interests and preferences to help us plan for a site visit and other potential activities in 2024. Any UTC faculty member or researcher is eligible to participate. Please take a few moments to complete the brief survey here to help us schedule activities of interest to you.

- Last Chance! The UTC Research Institute is accepting proposals for a new CEACSE program: FY24-25 Planning and Capacity Building for Collaborative Teams (PACCT). The RFP is available here. - NSF has released an updated program announcement for the Cognitive Neuroscience program. There are two deadlines per year: February 1 and August 15. Learn more about the program here.
